We thank Drs. Kim and Kwak for their letter regarding our recent consensus statement on the treatment of immune thrombocytopenia in dogs and cats,1 and their close review of the bibliography. We concur that the appropriate citation for our statement that eltrombopag is unlikely to be effective in cats should have been the conference abstract from 2004,2 and we are grateful to Drs. Kim and Kwak for providing us with the opportunity to make this correction.
